My tryst with Singapore began even before I migrated here with my family a decade ago. I had earlier been closely associated with supervising a Singapore based company’s work output. That initial exposure opened the door for a much deeper bond with this beautiful country.

While considering the move to Singapore to broaden my professional horizon, I was looking for a work culture based on highly professional and sound business practices – looking at problems as challenges to solve bigger issues and providing global solutions rather than solving isolated issues.
And I haven’t been let down! Singapore offers ample opportunities for professional growth in the construction sector. Thus, the sheer magnitude of opportunities in my chosen field has kept me going here.
But, Singapore’s charm does not just end with the excellent career growth prospects.
My wife and two daughters too are very fond of Singapore with its variety of activities and cultural delights that we can indulge in as a family. With good education systems in place, our overall requirements for the children have been met. The children enjoyed their schooling while being exposed to fellow students from various cultural backgrounds to give them a global perspective at a young age.
What we really appreciate about Singapore is the systematic lifestyle and discipline in all walks of life. Everything works like clockwork.
We always keep in close touch with family and friends, encouraging them to visit Singapore and experience the joy of living in Singapore too.
I would also highly recommend that my fellow llTians and others considering a move to Singapore should make it happen – the opportunities for growth available here are innumerable and the benefits countless. IITians should continue their creative and competitive spirit through which they have been trained. Opportunities available in Singapore are right for such training given by IITs and they can make the most of it in this country.
